Follow the steps below to configure the Edcast (formerly known as Oddcast) software. Click here to download Edcast (standalone version).

Step 1 Install the Edcast Software

Step 2 Right mouse click on the Vorbis setting and click “Configure”. A “Configuration” window will then pop-up.

1. In the “Server IP” box enter “icecast.yourmuze.com” (all lower case)
2. In the “Server Port” box enter “8000″
3. In the “Encoder Password” box enter your stations password.
4. In the “Mountpoint” box enter “/” followed by your Yourmuze station login (no spaces, case-sensitive).

Both station name & password are settings you will find in the control panel:

The remaining settings can be left unchanged. Later you may wish to experiment with the “Bitrate” and “Quality” settings to improve the quality of your source stream.
Then click “OK”. Edcast is now configured.

You now need to play some music and then connect to Yourmuze to start streaming – open a media player (e.g. Windows Media Player or VLC) and play a song.

Step 3 Make your streams available to the public. Click on “Playback URLs”.

Step 4 Publish one or more of the URL’s to your website and your streams are available for your audience.
